It was a packed weekend for me in Toronto, cutting multiple UFC fighters during fight week. One of the highlights was having the honor of cutting Jessica Andrade — a former UFC champion with one of the most fearless energies I’ve ever felt in the chair. She came in wanting a star design shaved into the side of her hair, something bold that matched her personality and her fight style.
Jessica was in Canada for her fight that weekend, and even though the result didn’t go her way, she carried herself with the same toughness and professionalism she’s known for. What stood out to me was how calm and grounded she was — no ego, no attitude, just a fighter focused on representing herself the right way.

When I started carving the star into her fade, she lit up. She knew exactly what she wanted, and she trusted me to bring it to life. That’s something I never take lightly, especially with athletes who perform on the world stage. Moments like that remind me why I love what I do — being part of a fighter’s preparation, helping them feel sharp, confident, and ready to step under the lights.
